Cool! I have an XZ Premium that is fine except for the charging port being a bit loose and having a dodgy pin. Which I guess is quite major because the cable has to be inserted, then very, very carefully moved around until all pins get contact before it will charge. Once in the optimal position, it has to be left in that spot lest the plug lose contact and stop charging.
I have a replacement though. Not a Sony. My daughter bought me an OPPO A53s which is a very good phone considering the price.
I was advised by a repairer here in Australia that it would be "very expensive" to repair it. However, knowing enough about phone dismantling to be dangerous to myself and others, as well as having a sometimes problematic curiosity, I think I might source a replacement charging port and have a crack at fixing it. The worst I can do is break it.
Sony is not good phone.

i am using this phone since more than 3 years.
very excellent phone but it heats up alot. and big issues is 4k video making is just for advertising it doesn't work in reality in this phone.

Hi, I've taken apart my XZ a few times..the latest was to replace the phone jack.But the proximity sensor seems to have failed n there is no replacement I find online so far. Also, my screen suddenly doesn't show though you could see it's lit up underneath. Jus that nothing shows.. I lift up my whole lcd as the adhesive is gone pretty much. The words like Sony n android showed a while and then screen turns black again. What is possibly wrong here?

All I know is that I still have my XZ Premium that i have been using for 3 and a half years now. And it still works perfectly despite my having dropped it many times, and having gotten it wet multiple times too (even spilled hot coffee ☕ on it)
